Join award-winning illustrator and Leicester Print Workshop member Cecilia Mackay (@ceciliamackay) for a relaxed, hands-on afternoon. Together, you’ll discover the calming, immersive art of relief printmaking using hand-carved lino blocks. Whether you're making individual prints or collaborating on a larger family masterpiece, you’ll leave with beautiful art ready to frame or gift!
🎟️ Important Booking Information
To keep this workshop a shared family experience and ensure safe supervision:

Accompanying Adult Required: Children (11+) must be accompanied by a parent or carer throughout the session.

Child Limit: Maximum of 2 children per adult.

No Unaccompanied Adults or Under-11s: Due to the use of very sharp cutting tools, this session is strictly for ages 11+ and adults accompanying a child.

✏️ What You’ll Learn
No prior drawing skills are required—Cecilia provides ready-to-use templates if you'd like inspiration! In this small-group session, you will learn how to:

Plan your design and transfer it seamlessly onto lino

Safely and precisely carve your blocks (full tuition provided)

Ink up and hand-print your unique designs

Layer and combine colors for maximum visual impact

Collaborate on a shared piece for a fun, joint creative project
🎒 What to Bring

An apron and clothes you don’t mind getting a bit inky!

A shoebox to carry your wet prints safely home (Cecilia will show you how to pack them so they don't smudge).
All tools, lino blocks, inks, and paper are fully provided.
