Our Purpose

Lighthaus Arts CIC is a grassroots, artist-led community based in South Leamington Spa—bringing artists, makers and local people together to shape a new kind of creative space.

We exist to make the arts more accessible, relevant and empowering. We support artists at every stage, especially those who’ve faced barriers, through studio space, mentoring, exhibitions and opportunities to grow sustainable creative careers.

But this isn’t just about artists—it’s about community. We work with local groups, charities and residents to co-create projects that respond to real needs, from free workshops and outreach to exhibitions and public art.

We run a dynamic programme of events and workshops that bring artists, creatives and local people together to connect, share and spark ideas. From relaxed socials to artist-led talks and discussions, everything we do is designed to build community and encourage collaboration.

We work with a wide range of artists and cultural practitioners to host inspiring, down-to-earth talks and panels—offering real insight into creative practice, process and pathways.

Our workshops open up access to the creative industries, helping people build skills, confidence and a clearer sense of how to turn creativity into opportunity.

We work closely with local schools, colleges and community groups to offer mentoring and real-world work experience. From curating exhibitions to planning events and supporting day-to-day operations, participants gain practical, hands-on insight into how a creative space runs.

By connecting learning with real experience, we help people build confidence, develop their skills and better understand how to shape a career in the arts—whether that’s creating work, building a portfolio or learning how to promote themselves.

At Lighthaus Arts, we create community-led arts projects that support wellbeing, creativity and connection. Working alongside local people, charities, schools and grassroots organisations, we develop projects that respond to real needs and shared experiences.
