Open Call for Artists

Summer Open Exhibition

Our Summer Open Exhibition is an open, inclusive showcase celebrating a wide range of contemporary visual art practices. This exhibition offers artists the opportunity to present recent work, test new ideas, and share their practice within a supportive, professionally curated group exhibition.

Unlike themed exhibitions, the Summer Open is intentionally broad—creating space for diverse voices, materials, and approaches. We welcome work that reflects current interests, ongoing explorations, or resolved pieces that artists are excited to share with new audiences.

The exhibition aims to present a lively and generous snapshot of contemporary practice, encouraging dialogue between artists and offering visitors a rich, varied and engaging experience.

Alongside the exhibition, a selection of works will be recognised by our panel, with awards including Overall Winner, Highly Commended, and Commended.

Prizes will include gift vouchers and featured recognition, supporting artists and celebrating the strength and diversity of work on display.

Accessibility & Inclusion

We are committed to creating an open, welcoming, and inclusive exhibition programme. We encourage submissions from artists of all backgrounds and levels of experience, including those who may face barriers to accessing the arts.

If you have access needs, require adjustments to the submission or installation process, or would like to discuss your work in a different format, please get in touch. We are happy to have a conversation and will do our best to support you.

Key Dates

  • Submission deadline: Monday 18 May, 11:59pm
  • Artwork drop-off: Sunday 24 May
  • Private View: Saturday 30 May
  • Exhibition closes: Friday 19 June

Hanging Fees & Membership
Artists on the Artist Membership tier or above exhibit free of charge and don’t pay a hanging fee.

Non-members are very welcome to exhibit too. There’s just a £10 hanging fee, which helps cover the cost of the exhibition.

Sales & Commission
When a piece sells, you’re free to replace it with another work of a similar size to keep your display fresh. We take 20% commission currently from sold artworks from our exhibitions.
