Zélie Swan is an artist working primarily in oil painting and pastel drawing, currently studying for a BA in Fine Art with the Open College of the Arts. Her work centres on portraiture and figurative painting rooted in family memory and domestic life. Recurring subjects include figures from old family photos, reworked with painterly, abstract mark-making.Zélie came to painting later in life, bringing focus and discipline to her practice alongside a willingness to explore different mediums.
She exhibits regionally, including with Warwickshire Open Studios, at Leamington Spa Art Room and Stoneleigh Arts Space. She is available for commissions and enquiries.
Based in Warwick, she continues to develop new bodies of work.
